Kris vowed to be obedient to new commander-in-chief. The 4 sisters of president-elect Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III may not hold any government position in his administration but they vowed to support him during his whole 6-year term.

Television host-actress Kris Aquino-Yap, the youngest, even volunteered to become his older brother’s “cheerleader” as criticisms are expected to come his way once he formally assumes the presidency.

Maria Elena “Ballsy” Aquino-Cruz, the eldest among the brood of 5, said Noynoy can count on her, Kris, Aurora Corazon “Pinky” Aquino-Abellada, and Victoria Eliza “Viel” Aquino-Dee to tell him the truth when everybody else becomes too hesitant to reveal the facts.

“Nanggaling na kami roon. Alam namin na maraming hindi masabi sa Pangulo. Ang maraming pangit na bagay, pipilitin namin na masabi sa kanya,” Ballsy said in an interview on “TV Patrol World” Wednesday.

The five are the children of the late former president Corazon Aquino and slain opposition leader Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr.

When asked who would act as the first lady of Noynoy, who remains a bachelor at 50, Ballsy replied that no one in the family would be designated to take over the duties of the first lady.

“Marami ngang nagtatanong kung sino ang magiging first lady, na sinagot na namin. Ang mom naging Pangulo, wala naman siyang naging first gentleman. Pero kung meron mga lugar na hindi mapuntahan ni Noy at kailangan ng isang miyembro ng pamilya, siguro aatasan na lang niya kami,” she said.

If her brother requests it, Ballsy added that the 4 of them will take turns in accompanying Noynoy in his state visits.

“Baka ayaw naman ni Noy na may kasama,” Ballsy said.

Kris, in the same interview, chimed in: “Kung ayaw naman niya kaming isama, hindi naman namin ipagpipilitan ang sarili namin.”

Cheerleader

Kris, who got involved in many controversies, also vowed not only to remain obedient “from this day forward” but to be Noynoy’s cheerleader.

“When you’re president, ang dami-daming batikos. So, paminsan-minsan kailangan mong marinig na you’re doing a good job, most especially galing doon sa totoong nagmamahahal sa’yo,” Kris said.

Being a positive person, Kris said she would constantly praise Noynoy.

“Kapag feeling ko ang ganda ng speech niya, ang ganda ng pagkasagot niya, tine-text ko siya agad. Kapag feeling ko pogi siya that day, nagte-text din ako kasi kailangan naman talagang may balance tayo,” she said.

Aside from being Noynoy’s cheerleader, Kris said she will also push through with her advocacy to help poor elementary students, especially those from Grades 1 to 3.

Kris is scheduled to go to Tarlac province to distribute school supplies to 2,000 students. After Tarlac, she will go to Cebu and some areas in Mindanao. -ABS-CBNnews
