At the press conference of the movie I’ll Be There, it was announced that there will be a scheduled reunion between ex-couple Gabby Concepcion and Sharon Cuneta. The Megastar was said to have finally agreed to have Gabby guest on her talk show Sharon on ABS-CBN.

The taping of this historical reunion will be done in a week’s time, and daughter KC Concepcion who was also at the press conference, confirmed the reunion will push through when she said in a joke, “Paki ready na po ‘yung ambulansya, oxygen, kasi hindi ko po kakayanin.”

ABS-CBN.com asked for Gabby’s reaction to this imminent reunion, but he himself was also surprised by the announcement during the press con. “Hindi ko nga alam. Sinosorpresa nila ako. But I like surprises. He said he is also unaware if Sharon will grace the premiere of his movie with their daughter KC. “Hindi ko pa alam. I guess all of that will have to be a surprise,” Gabby answered. The actor again proved that all is well now with his ex-wife and that he considers this scheduled TV reunion a good thing. “Masaya ‘yun. Walang problema dun. It would be nice.”

Star Cinema’s newest offering I’ll Be There stars real-life father and daughter Gabby and KC as estranged parent and child. It is a public knowledge that KC was mostly raised solely by Sharon and that Gabby spent 13 years in the US away from his daughter. But Gabby clarified that the story of I’ll Be There doesn’t reflect what really happened between him and KC.

Gabby also shared that never in his life did he imagine he would be doing a movie with his daughter KC. When KC was still young, Gabby and Sharon had an agreement to keep their child from the limelight.

Nevertheless, Gabby said he is very thankful that I’ll Be There gave him the opportunity to catch up on bonding times with his daughter whom he missed for the 13 years that he was in the US.

I’ll Be There premieres in theaters nationwide on June 16.  -ABS-CBN
