Various international R&B/pop singers expressed their admiration for Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao and pint-sized singer Charice.

During a press conference for the “Then & Now Massive Music Fest” concert here, international artists All-4-One, Frankie J and Jojo were all praises for the 2 Filipino stars.

Frankie J, in particular, said he wanted to personally meet Pacquiao, the 7-division world champion and congressman-elect of the Sarangani province.

“Well, congratulations to you Manny. Definitely, we love to meet up with you one day and shake your hand and say hello,” said Frankie J, who is behind the 2005 hit songs “How to Deal” and “Obsession.”

Echoing the clamor of the boxing community, the artists also called for a Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather Jr. showdown.

Meanwhile, aside from Pacquiao, they also admitted that they are impressed by Charice’s talent.

Jojo, for her part, said she doesn’t mind if people say that her singing voice sounds like Charice.

She said: “It doesn’t bother me. She sounds great. That’s cool.”

The “Then & Now” concert also featured SWV, Diana King, V-Factory, TQ, PM Dawn and Baby Bash. -Report from Ginger Conejero, Source: ABS-CBN News
